David writes:
Step 1: Load clothes and start washing machine as usual. Remove clothes when 1 hour cycle is complete.
Step 2: Improvise a laundry line by hanging string between a stray bolt on the side of the concrete building and an old TV antenna.
Step 3: Hang male and female underwear across 30 feet of clothesline so entire office staff and visiting Indian pastors can watch our clothes dry for the next four hours.
Step 4: Pelting drops of afternoon downpour arrive without warning.
Step 5: Rush outside to grab underwear and bring inside. Laundry and dismayed owners get soaked in the process.
Step 5: Sun comes out. Carefully re-hang wet laundry outside. Smile and nod to office staff and pastors.
Step 6: Repeat steps 4 and 5.
Step 7: Untie laundry lines and string them between curtain rods across our room.
Step 8: Hang wet laundry in room.
Step 9: Hope for sunshine tomorrow. Repeat steps 2 and 3.
